Yoga & Ayurveda

You are most welcome to join us on the next “Yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Training” here at Earthwise. We invite you to journey with us for a transformational experience of inner growth, learning and embodiment of these ancient teachings. Yoga & Ayurveda combined offer something not only unique but also essential to any Yoga teacher. Yoga is a spiritual practice designed to relieve spiritual suffering , Ayurveda is a medical science designed to address the health of body, mind, sences & soul. These two incredible systems were designed to be practiced together. Without a foundation of health spiritual practice cannot give the desired results this is why we offer a teacher training that teaches the importance of establishing a practice that is holistic in that it incorporates all the essential Vedic Teachings. Through establishing a yoga practice that is based on the principals of Ayurveda the student gets to experience first hand the benefits of Yoga & Ayurveda combined

‘It is important to reintegrate Yoga & Ayurveda to bring out the full healing and spiritual potential of each. Bringing Ayurveda into Yoga provides a yogic and Vedic system of medicine to allow for the full healing applications of all aspects of yoga. it provides a diagnosis and treatment in harmony with yoga Philosophy, as well as a diet and herbal treatment that follows the spiritual approach of Yoga” – David Frawley”

Womb Wisdom & Female Health

This teacher training  offers a more feminine approach to yoga teaching you how to sync your yoga practice with where you are in your monthly cycle. Coming back into sacred relationship with your body through cyclical living is central to this training

Both Yoga & Ayurveda specify practices that are suited to the different phases of menstrual cycle, as we move through each month we experience shifts in our energy levels & hormones, it makes sense that we would need to alter our yoga practice & our daily life with what’s happening in our bodies. How Yoga impacts our body depends where we are in our cycle, we are more prone to ligament damage at certain phases of the cycle, there are certain phases of the cycle that are better for building muscle & strength, other phases where we need to be mindful not to overheat the body. We as women are not meant to practice yoga the same way day in day out. This  is vital information for women teaching & practicing Yoga that respects the changing needs to the Female Body

This Teacher Training offers you the opportunity to experience  yoga as part of the healing system of Ayurveda. Yoga for healing shouldn’t exclude Ayurvedic guidelines for practice . The training supports you in  establishing a yoga & health routine based on Ayurvedic principals  which include  Dinacharya (daily routine), Ayurvedic Nutrition, Lifestyle, Self Massage, Yoga Asana, Pranayama & Yoga Nidra as daily practices.
The integration of these teachings into your daily life in central to the training as to be able to teach something successfully you must first embody it. How you will teach is an expression of everything that you yourself have learned, digested & integrated.

Rachel Jackson trained as an Ayurvedic and Lifestyle Therapist with the European Institute of Vedic Studies under Vaidya Atreya Smith. I received a certificate of Advanced Clinical Study in Ayurveda from the Vinayak Ayurveda and Panchakarma Research Foundation in Nagpur, India in 2011. I made several return trips to Nagpur to further my training in Ayurvedic treatments, including a four week internship assisting with Panchakarma. My primary interest and passion in Ayurveda has always been woman’s health and to expand in this, I completed the “Healthier Hormones” course with Dr. Claudia Welch. Following completion of this course, I uccessfully completed a Mentorship program with Dr. Welch to further expand my studies on woman’s health. I am committed to helping women understand their sacred, cyclical natures and returning to health and balance by working with their own bodies. I created the Women’s Health package to empower my female clients to understand how their bodies and hormones work, so they can take their health back into their own hands.
